SIMAS C @simas_eros Oct 23, 2026 A piano teacher with maternal trauma, tormented by erotic desire awakened by an irreverent student, embarks on a journey of personal discovery that will revolutionize her life. Surprising and intense. See more Thiago R @FlashTommy96 Aug 12, 2026 A very tense movie with multiple psychological layers. The protagonist has serious issues with socializing and forming relationships, maintaining a cold, distant, and harsh personality, yet we see that this is her defense mechanism due to her family trauma and sexual inhibitions. Isabelle Huppert's performance is mind-blowing! I didn't doubt the character for even a second. All the tension, discomfort, mood swings, and micro-expressions are absolutely convincing. I loved the film's editing: it is dry, direct, and completely devoid of fluff. The sound design is incredible, as the instrument capture, background voices, and ambient sound are mixed in a way that allows you to hear and feel everything. I didn't really care for the open ending, as I would have preferred something more conclusive. It has heavy scenes, which might not appeal to a mainstream audience. See more Melly B @RT02800281 Apr 22, 2026 This was the most disturbing film. I had to walk out during the rape scene. I felt like it was just too art house throwing everything into it. Lead actress was fantastic! See more Alexsander F @Aelxs Mar 26, 2026 Psychologically arresting. Isabelle Huppert remains one of the most sonorous names I have ever encountered — while Michael Haneke turns the experience into a study of unconsummated fetishes and possible misunderstandings between interlocutors. In short, a feast for Freudian psychoanalysis. See more retro b @retrobite Feb 1, 2026 It is an outrage against 'High Culture.' There is no love, there is a guerrilla war between the thighs. It is the total defeat of harmony. The film is an infrarrealist poem, a search for beauty at the bottom of a trash bag in a public restroom. Haneke lacked more filth but had an excess of hatred. You simply have to see it. Simplemente tienes que verla See more Richard B @RichardB12314 Jan 27, 2026 A highly conflated version of the novel. Some of the changes aren't really better, but expedient. Unless you're mentally ill, it says nothing about male and female relationships. It's better to read the novel, but not much better. See more Read all reviews
