While the premise hints at something energetic and offbeat, the execution feels scattered and inconsistent. Much of the dialogue falls flat, and the sudden bursts of violence never fully connect to the story in a meaningful way. Instead of building tension or momentum, the film often feels like it’s jumping from idea to idea without purpose. The storyline itself isn’t terrible in concept, but it’s poorly structured and lacks cohesion. Scenes feel stitched together rather than organically developed, making it hard to invest in the characters or their motivations. The director seems unsure of the film’s tone, wavering between dark comedy and crime drama without committing to either. This confusion is amplified by a weak screenplay that offers little emotional or narrative payoff. Ultimately, Pixie feels more like a collection of moments than a complete story. I didn't understand anything this director wanted to do in this crazy opening. I just know that I didn't like anything here. The plot was swiss cheese for all the holes in it & it was literally copying scenes from other films. I don’t know why they wrote it as such, but it seemed like they were trying to make an American Film….and a bad one. Let the U.S. make their Films good or bad, but don’t emulate them. Disappointed.
