What to Know

Critics Consensus

Prophet's Prey finds documentarian Amy Berg striking again at evil masquerading as righteousness -- and, as she did with Deliver Us from Evil, hitting her targets with impressive precision.

Dec 22, 2020 Its sad that people seem to think they need other humans to lead them spiritually. NO ONE NEEDS THAT. See more eduardo b @Eduardohsb Apr 26, 2016 The story needed to be told and Warren Jeffs is a monster. But his followers were so stupid and everyone's motivation was so twisted that I can't help but think this should have been the main topic of this documentary. It felt overly long and all the blame was pointed solely on Warren Jeffs' direction while it is clear everyone there was to blame. See more Mar 25, 2016 This is a really well done and interesting documentary for those interested in the subject matter. See more Nov 14, 2015 Wow, what an amazing story. For me no clear demarcation between good vs. evil or right from wrong. Too easy to say William Jeffs is simply a perverted pedophile as he is depicted. The emotional control and power he and his doctrine have over his faithful is incredible as is the fact that so many thousands allow themselves to be dominated and controlled in such a manner. William Jeffs himself is eerily otherworldly. Could go on for hours regarding all the issues involved here. An amazing story. See more Nov 8, 2015 Interesting but not great. See more Nov 2, 2015 disturbing to my core. how Warren Jeff was able to manipulate and control many innocent children and believers is beyond my comprehension...especially with modern accessibility to information in everything.
