Alvaro C @cxmaraa 3 days ago no he llegado a conectar con la película, simplemente no es mi tipo de cine, pero tengo que admitir que la película tiene calidad, una pena que no la disfrute como tal. See more Mate P @matepolcz Oct 23, 2026 Raging Bull isn't easy to watch. It's a raw character study, where the character isn't really a good guy. I can excuse some of his actions with saying "that was normal in that era", but he always went too far. I tried, but couldn't connect to him in any way (until a scene at the end). Therefore I didn't understand some of his decisions (when he didn't fight back). So that's the reason I didn't love the film or maybe I'm just not into boxing films like this or The Fighter. Although I loved the vibe, the Italian accents, the juxtaposing, the structure. The directing is great, the cinematography is wonderful. I see how this probably inspired La Haine, with the lighting and camera movements. The cast is perfect and the performances as well, especially Robert DeNiro (obviously). The prison scene (which is my favourite) almost made me cry, what a performance. See more Alain E @AlainE Sep 9, 2026 On rewatching it, I am not that enthused. DeNiro definitely abused his body to a great extent playing his character. However, La Motta’s actions are not really explained. Why in some fights he stood to take a punishment? Unclear. According to the script he tried to reconnect with his brother, but his three children ended up in a black hole. If the lesson is that you can screw your life, then the movie is successful, although the hero does not elicit my sympathy. See more Joseph Y @JayGreasy Jun 26, 2026 The best movie I’ve ever seen? Probably. See more Tristan B @tristan3 Jun 17, 2026 [BOT] The pacing dragged a bit but worth it. See more Rohit R @RT41221724 Jun 13, 2026 Great cautionary tale. See more Read all reviews
