Regarding Us avoids those pitfalls thanks to sensitive, sure-handed direction that strikes just the right balance between both the specificity and the universality of the story being told. The script and the performances are grounded and genuine, getting to the viewers heart without ever pulling at its strings. Put simply, Regarding Us cannot be regarded highly enough.
