The Ristuccias are a seemingly happy Italian family. However, when long-gestating aspirations and forgotten passions bubble to the surface, the family's domestic peace is threatened. The father, Carlo (Fabrizio Bentivoglio), is weary of his insurance job and longs to be a writer; his wife, Giulia (Laura Morante), is a literature professor but would rather be an actress. These innocent if secret desires take a turn for the worse when Carlo begins an affair with an old flame (Monica Bellucci).

What to Know

Critics Consensus

Remember Me, My Love doesn't lack drama, but the movie's muddled message and a surfeit of disagreeable characters add up to something less than the sum of their parts.

I liked it; you may not. It may come down to your level of fascination with people who scream and gesture wildly in melodramatic Italian. Go to Full Review Carrie Rickey Philadelphia Inquirer Dec 9, 2004

Apr 23, 2014 I'm Italian and been living in the States for many years. I was curious to see an Italian movie again and so... OMG. Over-acted, frenetic, cliched (I've been to those parties and such and it just brought back such bad, and bored memories). Maybe Italy has become over-acted and a cliche'..... Unsufferable.
