It would be true to say that Stallone has improved as a director, delivering a short, almost staccato movie which zips through the whole fable fast enough to prevent familiarity breeding contempt.

Rocky was a right hook that hit satisfying home: Rocky II was a good follow-up left: Rocky III is a redundant flurry of fisticuffs long after the match has been won and the referee has raised the victor's arm.

I enjoyed the movie; it was entertaining and engaging, featuring a story with some touching moments. It follows the journey of the "Underdog" character as he achieves his dream, proves his worth, and gains fame—transitioning from a quiet, stable life to becoming somewhat reckless and arrogant. Ultimately, the character suffers a setback and returns to his true self. The line "There Is No Tomorrow" was a powerful, pivotal moment in the film, and the famous song "Eye of the Tiger" was moving and beautiful. However, I felt the pacing dragged a bit at times, and I prefer the two previous installments. My rating for it is 8.5/10 or 4.25/5 (to clarify).

O início da transição da saga para o espetáculo exagerado dos anos 80. O tom dramático e cru dos primeiros filmes dá lugar a uma narrativa mais comercial, rápida e estilizada. Clubber Lang é um vilão memorável graças à energia do Mr. T, e a nova aliança entre Rocky e Apollo Creed traz uma dinâmica fantástica ao ecrã. Vale pelo puro entretenimento e pela introdução da icónica "Eye of the Tiger", mesmo que falte o coração do original.

Alright this was the first film I ended with saying, "alright it kind of felt like I watched this already." But it was still had its twists and turns to not feel super repetitive.
