I liked the ideas on display and the action was decent enough. Because there is more than enough idea wise and subplots that if developed can more than make a Sci-Fi Classic. As it stands...we have this. I'm not even sure why it's called 6th day either. I'm not sure they even say. As said previously the clone ideas and everything are great. The editing isn't good and the pacing is terrible though. This starts off fine enough but it can never stay on one plot line for long before jumping to the next. Everything feels underdeveloped and hasted. It makes sense at first but it's so much it becomes diffcult to keep up. Than once the clone storyline starts it not only feels rushed and bloated...it becomes very jumpy and incoherent. Than we jump around between the two Arnold's AND Duvall's character and this is the death blow. It becomes completely incoherent in the middle and so hard to follow, Duvall becomes a plot expose machine, and sometimes I don't even know. It's so hard to tell the two Arnold's apart that even if you know what's happening in a given scene ort how it connects to the last one if your lucky, you don't know which storyline it belongs too. The ending...kind of makes it work "Better" but it's still not great. It's just it becomes not incoherent anymore but still. It's just standard Sci-Fi end villian fight stuff. Also the transitions are dated at times but it's not as bad as a Tony Scott film. It is distracting though. Everything else is alright enough I guess. I like the setting and the tech. It's cool to see a lot of this stuff in 2000 style. A lot of it we're using today so it looks cool. But again half the time I don't know what is going on despite good production value, effects, and direction. Arnold isn't bad here and the best thing acting wise. In the start he's pretty good actually with a lot of charm and charisma but it just disappears because we jump around so much and half the time I swear he doesn't know what's happening. The villian is lame and forgettable also. Everyone else is one note and forgettable as well or just spews plot expose half the time. The music is boring and trying to be hip and extreme at times along with boring generic stuff. Overall, this is a fustrating, incoherent, wasted potential mess that can't stay focused enough to get out of it's own way. Skip This. Complete missed opportunity.
