Grace Bichon, who is managing her father's riding-stable, discovers that her husband Eddie is deceiving her with another woman. After confronting him in the middle of the night on the streets of their small hometown, she decides to stay at her sister Emma Rae's house for a while to make up her mind. Breaking out of her everyday life, she starts to question the authority of everyone.

Contains the occasional barb -- mainly from Kyra Sedgwick, who steals the film as Roberts' tart-tongued sister. But Roberts herself is a drip, and it's a dull story.

[Julia Roberts and Gena Rowlands] are treated disgracefully by the men in their lives, yet they still seem curiously forgiving. Mind you, it is set in the Deep South, which always appears stuck in a time warp.

Filme fraco, o roteiro é fraco, as cenas são fracas, a história é fraca, o elenco é fraco, e ninguém ajuda a melhorar o filme, os personagens são fracos, e o filme deveria ter cenas bem melhores e relevantes, para fazer o filme ser bom

Bad movie about gossip and affairs in a small town; where the central scene has Julia confronting all the women in the town square about Dennis Quaid; her unfaithful husband... But it's unconvincing and done with lackluster acting. Everyone involved here has done much better than this. If you want to see Julia in a similar soap opera-ish scenario where she's going off on disloyal family members and quashing cruel gossip you should see her in August Osage County which covers a lot of the same territory but it's much better than this. MUCH better! I mean this comes of like some cheap episode of One Life to Live or something by comparison.
