Jeff Bauman loses both of his legs when two bombs explode during the Boston Marathon on April 15, 2013. It's not an easy film to watch, especially because so many of Jeff's family members are themselves walking disasters. But the performances by Gyllenhaal and Maslany make the ordeal worthwhile.

The film features phenomenal acting, with performances that bring intense emotion to the screen. The story pays tribute to the real-life events it depicts, making it powerful but difficult to watch at times. The raw emotion from the cast makes it a film I would recommend everyone see at least once.

Filme mais ou menos, o roteiro é fraco, as cenas são mais ou menos, a história é fraca, o elenco é fraco, e ninguém ajuda a melhorar o filme, os personagens são fracos, e o filme deveria ter cenas bem melhores e relevantes, para fazer o filme ser bom

It's a slow burn, and not the easiest watch, but it is rewarding. Gyllenhall excels and several scenes are gripping enough to stay with you long after the film. It's a film with heart, but one you have to be in a specific mood to want to watch again.
