Claudio C @Claudio666 3h Sudden Impact (1983) Go Ahead, Make My Day (12,658 – 02 Sep 2026 – Claudio Carvalho) "Sudden Impact" (1983) is the fourth Dirty Harry movie with another story of the efficient police inspector, showing fails of the justice system and revenge, The plot keeps the level with the franchise and uses Harry’s most famous phrase "Go Ahead, Make My Day". Although criticized by several "professional critics", Sondra Locke has good performance in the role of an artist seeking revenge of those who gang raped her sister and her ten years ago, Harry Callahan is assigned to find the serial-killer and takes the right decision in the end. My vote is eight. It delivers what you’d expect from a Dirty Harry movie: a tough, no-nonsense lead, gritty crime elements, and a straightforward revenge-driven plot. There are some strong moments, especially in the atmosphere and in how Harry Callahan is portrayed as a relentless force of justice. The film has enough structure and tension to keep it watchable, and it doesn’t completely lose sight of what makes the character work. That said, it can feel a bit uneven at times, with pacing that drags in certain sections and a story that isn’t quite as sharp or memorable as it could be. It’s entertaining, but not exceptional. Overall, it’s a little bit solid—worth a watch for fans, but not essential viewing. I rate it a 6/10.
