Wesley H @RT45980449 Oct 24, 2026 Kept me interested all the way through, but wouldn't wish to see it again. See more Sam P @laniakea Aug 24, 2026 Super Dark Times has real atmosphere and a genuinely tender thread in Zach and Alison, that hesitant, innocent almost romance that gives the film its emotional core. But the character logic falls apart under scrutiny. Kids covering a body with leaves and expecting it to stay hidden is absurd, and the near total absence of police pressure after a teen goes missing strains belief; in reality investigators would be questioning everyone close to him immediately. Joshua's turn toward violence is also left frustratingly unexplained, more a mood than a motivation. The film wants dread and psychological unraveling more than plausibility, and it shows. Still, the central relationship and creeping tension make it worth watching, even if you spend half the runtime frustrated by decisions no real teenager would make. See more Michael T. @MichaelTriv12 Apr 16, 2026 Nothing exceptional. Acting was fine, story was fine. Expected more based on some of the reviews in here but all around it is a solid movie. I don’t think there is any rewatch value but it is good enough to keep your attention for the runtime. See more Tanner J @TannerJohnson55 Mar 9, 2026 Maybe not a 5/5 for some, but if this is your type of movie, you will never forget. It is likely one of the most poignant movies ever made. It does not hold back, especially in its acting. The way its simplicity crushes you should be more recognized. Charlie Tahan is utterly terrifying, but also sad. His capability is potent, and he is just as excellent in Ozark. It may not be a flick you want to watch with others, but it is a must-see as simply a character study. There is a lot to look at, especially given the modern era. See more Affleberry F @JimSnow Mar 4, 2026 Incredible movie. The atmosphere created, the style put on screen, such an impressive accomplishment across the board, especially for what I assume was a modest budget. There isn't a negative aspect to this movie in my opinion. Most definitely worth the watch! See more Drew F @Drewfrost20 Feb 26, 2026 Great thrill ride! Keeps you engaged beginning to end.
