It’s all rather predictable, but the world-building is distinctive and the animation is pleasingly lush.

Unlike the greatest Pixar films that the director, Nathan Greno, and his three writers are trying to emulate, any sharper messaging gets quickly cast aside for a fairly rote buddy comedy quest narrative.

["Swapped" is] simple, but it’s not mindless, executing a good story and delivering on a poignant message.

It'll pop for family audiences and bring a bit of that cutesy charm that Pixar and DreamWorks of old used to bring to the table.

Kind of charming actually. It reminded me of a kind of childish movie I would’ve come up with as a kid. The whole concept of shapeshifting is something that has always greatly interested me. Though aside from a couple cool concepts, the movie plays out kind of generically and didn’t really hook me in… until the twist with the villain happened (which I’m sure everyone knows about by now). But that twist really gave this movie a needed push into the third act. Without that villain, this movie would’ve been way more forgettable.

Good child animated film. Peril, mild violence.

I think this is great movie. I love the narrative and the message. It tells a good story about understanding each other in a different way. The problem with this movie is the twist villain, it just comes out of nowhere and I think it would have done better without. I also think it plays to safe with it’s story and I think it could’ve done something a little more riskier.

I LOVE SWAPPED MUCH!!! I was so stunning after watching swapped for the first time in May,it's really amazing movie!!!I have seen the swapped story from May until now and I am still watching it. This is my first favorite movie in my life!! I think this is the most successful story. But I'm still not satisfied when Ollie returned to the valley and met Ivy again, that really touched my heart ;) I really want to know what will happen next. I really really hope swapped Will get a sequel❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥(I really hope it!!♥️).
