That the film proves as affecting as it does is largely due to Knoxville’s understated, terrific performance that makes his character fully sympathetic despite his many flaws.

The humour can sometimes struggle to keep up with the heartfelt drama, but the pure heart makes this film a sweeping success. You’ve seen it before, but you’ll enjoy it again.

An unlikely success, featuring a dramatic turn from Johnny Knoxville, more than holding his own in a rare lead dramatic role.

In 'Sweet Dreams,' Johnny Knoxville's a long way from his 'Jackass' roots, deep in dramatic acting territory, and surprisingly effective.

Some key monologues detail a character with issues to sort out, and Knoxville steps up to the plate to deliver. A good softball story.

Johnny Knoxville gives a career defining performance with a great supporting cast. It's a formula you've seen a billion times, but they bring so much to the table making it more than worthwhile. Amazing, fun but also with lots of emotions.

Knoxville was great as a dramatic actor. I like everything he does.

This movie was a waste of my life. The acting was terrible, mostly I guess because of the cast. It was a bunch of comedians and podcasters, yet it wasn't funny AT ALL. The story was severely lacking and worn out. It was just... Bleh.

I was not expecting to watch this movie and to shed a few tears. Johnny Knoxville’s performance was incredible in here. I didn’t even realize I was watching the movie for that long and was disappointed it ended. The only con imo is how it ended. I hope there’s some sort of sequel that shows how they all end up on their journey.
