Just about a perfect movie, at turns exciting, funny, heartwarming, emotionally resonant and yet very simple and stripped down. Go to Full Review

Alex B @AlexBioni 5d Son Of Man This movie is excellent. Disney animation was firing on all cylinders in the 90s. The music is exceptional. Phil Collins is king, and every song hits me in the feels, from the tragic opening to the gorillas at the camp. Tarzan is a complex character, living in a world he doesn't belong in and learning about humanity through Jane. I love how we understand Tarzan speaking with the gorillas, but once he meets Jane, we can't understand him because we're seeing things from her perspective. The animation still holds up, and some of the camera work is unique and memorable. Clayton needs a firearms safety course. He's one of those villains you just love to hate, and his demise is crazy for a kids movie. My only nitpick is when Tarzan gets scratched fighting the jaguar, but the scratch magically disappears later. This is a Disney classic and top tier for me, right up there with The Lion King. Wich is fine, because had a wonderfull time. But now I'm home I though let's watch a movie again. I don't know why but I chose to see Tarzan. But I felt I wanted to see it! Because I have seen this movie a really long time ago as a child. This movie is so great and funny. The opening sequence is heartbraking and so sad, but somehow beautiful. The cast is incredible and animation is beautiful made. Especially from the late 90's. I really loved Terk and Tantor such a fun characters. Like I said I saw this movie when I was a child. I really think I saw it with my family in VHS. I really don't remember anything of the movie. So it was fun to rewatch it after 25 years.
