As a dark comedy-thriller, this movie lacks humor and thrill.

Teaching Mrs. Tingle reveals Williamson not only to be as accomplished a director as he is a writer but also his willingness to move beyond horror to psychological suspense.

A light recommend. The film is nowhere near as bad as it was made out to be; it's just safe because films were defanged in the wake of Columbine. Helen Mirren and Marisa Coughlan are the MVPs

Helen Mirren's acting stands out in this mean-spirited dark comedy like an original Picasso in a paint-by-numbers art show.

Marisa Coughlan absolutely steals the movie. The movie is capable. Competent direction and acting. Story not great, but not terrible.

Tingle is a decent romp through 90's nostalgia. True to the tune of Don't Tell Mom the Babysitter's Dead, the plot's straight forward about a random scenario you and your friends spitball that actually spirals out of control. Fun, but at times very thin in plot and character development. All of the characters are paper thin but if you're feeling nostalgic then tune in.
