So. If you want information about these people, look at a reliable source. If you want the zeitgeist, bottled to make drama, then - problems. Between tragedy and comedy, this is tragedy. Blackberry was a comedy, in this vicinity, that I recommend instead. Here, ... In order for me to feel the tragedy, I have to like - somebody - in the story. Otherwise, fatal. That didn't happen here. Everyone was saying facebook was a big deal, whereas my experience of it was: a website that appeared upon leaving uni, as a way to stay in touch. The biggest highlight is Aaron Sorkin's sharp script, filled with fast-paced and witty dialogue, paired with David Fincher's precise direction. Jesse Eisenberg delivers a great performance as Mark Zuckerberg, portraying him as a brilliant yet arrogant guy. It only loses a few points because the narrative leans so heavily into the characters' cynicism that the film feels a bit cold emotionally, but it remains an excellent watch. Jesse Eisenberg is exceptional as Mark Zuckerberg, making him brilliant, arrogant, defensive, and emotionally closed off without reducing him to a caricature. Andrew Garfield gives the film its heart as Eduardo Saverin, making the betrayal feel personal, painful, and deeply human. Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross’s cold electronic score gives the movie an anxious pulse, making Facebook’s rise feel lonely and ominous rather than purely triumphant.
