I will say there was one or two stories that I didn’t really like, but that’s also because I was coming into the movie expecting something else, overall pretty good movie. The ranking of them would go: 1. "Buster Scruggs", it's the first one, the title for a reason. A good sense of humor and the fastest pace and best energy of the group. 2. "All Gold Canyon", the most likable protagonist of the whole thing. 3. "The Mortal Remains", my favorite anthology films, have a horror edge to them, and this one fit that mold well. 4. "Near Algodones", keeps up the energy and humor from the first short. 5. "The Gal Who Got Rattled", an exciting conclusion, but serious pacing problems. 6. There's odd - there's horror and then well there's nihilism. Somehow throwing the legless, armless man off the bridge, well - I know folks who would do that. Seems to me that just stokes their fire. So... guys - no go from this dude. And actually I HAVE a sense of humor. But this is a "bridge too far". Now if you want to do that with some politicians - sure - rock and roll. But the average guy, trying to survive. Beware. your target. The bank robber, I get that. The summary execution squad, OK go get'm. But not the kid ... it's just a little too real life and well like 2026 for me. Peace and love guys.
