A devastating nuclear attack thrusts nine strangers together in the bunker-like basement of their New York apartment building. The survivors are trapped underground with no hope of rescue, and only horror on the other side of the door. As supplies dwindle and tempers flare, they become increasingly unhinged by the close quarters and hopelessness of their situation, and turn on one another. Still, one survivor holds on to a thin chance for escape, even though salvation is unlikely.

The one valuable lesson gleaned from The Divide? We learn a multitude of new uses for duct tape! However, one of them should be to seal the film canisters of The Divide shut to save you from seeing it.

Whilst the cinematography and even the sound directorship is great, the story line and script is atrociously illogical. There is no sense. The characters were written so poorly that they chose all the worst decisions in the entirety of the film.

The Divide was by far one of the worst, disgusting movies I've ever seen. I should have turned it off way before the sexual violence started; assuming the two men would get what they deserved way before the end of the movie. I feel that many, many times throughout the movie the other survivors had many opportunities to come up against the two "warped and demented" men and stopped them. Totally disturbing and I pray it gets out of my mind but I don't believe it will because of the horrific plot. The movie didn't start out too bad but went into a totally different direction then I would ever have thought. Also, suprised Arquette would take on a role such as this. DON"T WATCH!!!!

I truly regret wasting my time watching this movie. The plot was quite simplistic,it had too many lose ends, completely illogical at times and a lot of sexual violence and gruesome scenes that contradicted the next scenes. It just lacked profundity, credibility, suspense etc. I get the general idea of humanity losing itself but that wasnt portrayed in the movie. I was left wondering what kind of psychos would write such a completely nonsensical script. Eron Shaaen and Karl Mueller apparently.

About a group of people trapped in a building basement after a nuclear war. You get to watch the people as the descend into madness. Its not very clever. No rainbow at the end. Don't watch it with the kids. Actually don't watch it.
