This is definitely a one trick pony though. Along the lines of The Conjuring movies, it’s more of a vehicle for jump scares. Some of the scares are effective, but they are generally pretty sparse until the end.

Its lack of surprising features, the extremely predictable jumpscares, and the complete disregard for the audience, treating the viewers like the dumbest people ever, make The Grudge one of the worst horror films of the last few years.

it's a NEGITIVE 5 star, waste of money, time, and walked out more bumb then when I walked in. oh but I did enjoy the popcorn so I guess that was 5 stars.
