Houde F @houde 1 day ago A good mix of curse and revenge horror, set in the Appalachian backwoods. The story has quite a few twists and turns, involving a cursed guy with a noose and barbed wire, a cult, and a father searching for his son. All these elements are actually connected quite well, and the story manages to bring everything together. The lead actor is really strong in his role. I also liked how the father quickly finds his way into the role of someone seeking revenge, rather than spending the entire movie in an emotional state over his son's fate. It gives the character an interesting direction. Overall, a solid curse and revenge movie with a good story behind it. The different elements work together, and the ending brings things together nicely without giving too much away. If you're looking for over the top scary, this will not be your type of movie. But this was interesting to watch from an AA pov. Many times, I was like now why are "we" camping in the middle of nowhere pops?! SMH. 😂 It was cool. Give it a try. Acting was awful, the typical stereotypes were present and ridiculous, not scary at all, and the stroy was boring and predictable. This felt more like a thriller than a true horror movie.
