Scott and Annie Russell couldn't be happier after buying their dream home from a mysterious and lonely widower named Charlie in Napa Valley, Calif. Their newfound paradise soon turns into a living nightmare when Charlie -- still strangely attached to the house -- begins to show up and interfere in their daily lives. When his erratic behavior turns to obsession, the young couple soon find themselves caught up in a violent confrontation that threatens to destroy everything they hold dear.

The Intruder succeeds in making this scenario less blatantly paranoid and misanthropic than it often appears... It also helps that Quaid, showing remarkable dedication to the role, jumps effortlessly between magnanimous old fool and evil.

I’ve seen some of the reviews. I agree the plot can be predicted pretty much from 30 minutes into the movie having said that, I did find it an enjoyable watch and Dennis Quaid seemed to enjoy himself playing the sociopath to good effect. I’d say in fairness not quite to the quality of Jack Nicholson in The Shining. Nonetheless he gave it a damned good go and I enjoyed it. I found the side plot of the troubled marriage rather dull and Scott’s character irritating, from the beggining I was rooting for him to exit the movie early 😂. Still not a bad watch if you’ve got 1 1/2 hours free.

Filme fraco, o roteiro é fraco, as cenas são fracas, a história é fraca, o elenco é fraco, e ninguém ajuda a melhorar o filme, os personagens são fracos, e o filme deveria ter cenas bem melhores e relevantes, para fazer o filme ser bom
