The odd couple, madcap energy keeps The Last Viking on the rails, resulting in an unpredictable and very funny film that we’re never sure where it is going next. As you’d expect the work of Mads Mikkelsen and the wider cast is first rate.

I absolutely loved The Last Viking. The music was incredible and added so much emotion and atmosphere to the film. Every performance was stunning, but Mads Mikkelsen was truly epic. He brought such depth, humour and humanity to the role. A strange, moving and unforgettable film that stayed with me long after it ended.

One of the most unusual films you'll ever see. Shifts from LOL funny to searingly sad – with snippets of gruesome, violent and mad-cap – but don't be put off by those reviewers who don't get it. This isn't a comedy gone wrong, it's a drama that manages complexity in its own unique way. Moving and rewarding, I can't recommend it enough.

After a certain point I just didn’t care about this movie, the story, the tone. It is pretty much a disjointed mess. I was not invested in anything here. It’s a violent, black comedy that becomes sappy and false at the end.

I went into The Last Viking expecting a crime story, but it turned out to be much more that that. The movie mixes dark humor, family drama, and emotion in a way that feels fresh and unique. The relationship between the two brothers is the heart of the story, and it keeps you invested throughout. What I liked most was how the film balances funny moments with deeper themes about family, identity, and second chances. It reminds us that reconnecting with the people we care about can be more valuable that chasing money or the past.
