Veteran actor Sam Elliot gives a strong performance as Calvin Barr, a man haunted by his past as an assassin. The end of the film is puzzling, but we do get a good sense of who Calvin is. He reminds me of one that Elliot played in the "The Hero" (2017).

Plot is crazy bonkers, but Elliot, sad sacking his way through this, for some reason makes me want to keep watching. The movie it trying to make a point somewhere about loss and sacrifice and priorities, but it is way too jumbled, especially with all the flashbacks, to stick the landing.

It's not the worst movie ever, and it's really enjoyable, but I could never really identify what story this movie was trying to tell. It has one of the whackiest concepts I've ever seen in a movie, and the attempts to make it make sense through the plot just made it plain stupid. Despite its flaws, it was really fun to watch, and it had a lot of surprisingly heartwarming moments. Sam Elliot's performance made this movie worth watching. I definitely recommend it for drama and adventure fans!
