Thomas (Dylan O'Brien), a teenager, arrives in a glade at the center of a giant labyrinth. Like the other youths dumped there before him, he has no memory of his previous life. Thomas quickly becomes part of the group and soon after demonstrates a unique perspective that scores him a promotion to Runner status -- those who patrol the always-changing maze to find an escape route. Together with Teresa (Kaya Scodelario), the only female, Thomas tries to convince his cohorts that he knows a way out.

Ultimately, Ball does what he can with rather weak material, and leaves us with an entertaining blockbuster that sets a good precedent and a bit of anticipation for the prospect of the inevitable sequel. [Full review in Spanish]

I think the acting was great, and I loved the story. I will say I never read the books, and everyone will tell you read the books first, I can't disagree, but this movie was a great watch and i defentily reccomend.

I’m so over directors taking amazing book series and rewriting them into something barely recognizable. The Maze Runner is one of my favorite series, but the movie strayed so far from the book it might as well have had a different name. So many important details were cut. If you want creative freedom, write your own story, don’t piggy back someone else’s masterpiece. What happened to when directors were actually good directors. Truly disappointed in this movie. Director Wes... If I could give no stars I would. Dylan O'Brien you did amazing. Directors, please stop ruining good stories.

Great performance from Dylan O'Brien and the rest of the cast. Good pacing and next level action sequences. Love how Thomas knows just as much as us and we discover the secrets of his world with him. Some parts weren't explained well enough (ex. why the runners can't just climb the walls) compared to the books, but overall great acting, great action, great sound design, and an intriguing yet original plot that stands out in a sea of Hunger Games clones.

This movie starts out as confusing but ends up as a cinematic masterpiece. The way they introduce Thomas,s is great he's just a normal kid wanting to live a good life but we latter find out that he's the one who put people here. Overall it's a great movie watch it
