Rebecca’s battle against the forces of evil isn’t so much all for naught as it is boringly routine. Holland deserves better. For that matter, so does the audience. Go to Full Review

The Mortuary Assistant explores one woman's trauma as it resurfaces during the course of one fateful night, and is an effective adaptation of the iconic game. Go to Full Review

The horror becomes repetitive and grinding, reliant on the sense of an inescapable nightmare for its impact, which will not be for everyone: onwards impetus is not really what The Mortuary Assistant is all about. Go to Full Review

Despite the excellent makeup and practical effects, this movie is an unfortunate waste of time, where even the 90-minute run time feels exceptionally long. Go to Full Review

With a runtime of just over an hour and a half The Mortuary Assistant is an intense, chilling horror film that leaves you with the reminder not to work late. Go home, lock your doors, and think twice before offering some overtime. Go to Full Review

Teal 1d Acting was ok, visually fine but it felt like it drug on, choppy story and the pieces didn’t seem to fit smoothly. Had far higher hopes for this game adaptation. See more Ben W 1d Worse than Return to Silent Hill. Way worse. Very bad. Very stupid. No. See more Alex 1d I want to preface this by saying I am a fan of the game this is based on. It’s a fun horror game, and there was a lot of potential to make a decent movie based on it. However, that is not what happened here unfortunately. The storyline was really clunky and just blatantly confusing. The filming style was nice, but the writing and storyline was a complete train wreck. I am a regular theater-goer, and have seen hundreds of movies (good and bad), but I think this is the first time I have ever wanted to walk out of a movie at a theater. Don’t recommend. See more Avishai W 1d My friend wrote this and I’m proud of her See more Edward G 1d The movie has potential, but I think the AA meeting is unnecessary. The first act felt like I wanted to leave the theater, but the second half saved it by talking about how to prevent a demon. The complete flashback at the end was pretty interesting and makes me want to know more. Hope they make a sequel. See more Juan D 1d i was expecting a more scarier movie because i played the game, the adaptation is good, but the scares are not quite there. still a good and entertaining movie.
