It felt like a fan film with a huge budget, not a genuine Muppets product. I didn't laugh once, other than for one Beaker joke. A shot for shot remake of a 50 yr old property is neat - but it's not the foundation for a new show. The fact that there are so many fawning, fainting reviews I think is more a testament to either how dumbed down we've become as a society - or simply to Disney's massive marketing Ouroboros. Nostalgia is fine, but new content made exclusively to mine it is basically *never* truly Good, or Creative. If Jim Henson could see this slop, his first question would be why his handpicked successor as Kermit has no involvement whatsoever - then he'd ask why you aren't doing anything new.
