Audience Says

A cinematic epic fit for the biggest screens, The Odyssey proves with technical precision and unrestrained grandeur that there’s no filmmaker quite like Christopher Nolan to steer Odysseus’ voyage home.

Like the filmmaker’s last work, ‘Oppenheimer,’ ‘The Odyssey’ has a downbeat, apocalyptic bent—but, unlike ‘Oppenheimer,’ or any previous Nolan film, the new film is also centrally about what human beings owe one another. Go to Full Review

I’m delighted with this rendition of The Odyssey. It’s effortlessly inclusive, it’s a grand, epic story, and it’s also a heartfelt reckoning of humanity facing our own flaws. Yes, the women deserved better, but the performances are excellent. Go to Full Review

Less interesting in its ponderous dialogue than in a scene where Polyphemus smacks a dude so hard that he does three backflips. Go to Full Review

Johnboy The Hammerdog 1h Having already known the story so well, you know what’s going to happen already. The way that’s it’s told snd the few twists and turns it takes to tell it though was wonderful. The modern technology was amazing. Well done. Note the Siren’s scene and the final battle was amazing. Enjoy See more Carl D. 10h Good movie. Nice plot See more sharyl s 11h Epically AWFUL. Hated in from the beginning. Psycho movie. NOT entertaining at all. Yuk See more Julia T 11h 2nd time I saw it and I’m ready to see it again. Amazing! See more MrJ 12h Not worth the extra price for IMAX but I think that might be more of an individual theater issue than overall quality of the film itself. But really I was meh about it there were some real missed opportunities in several places that could've used the attention more. But the cast was excellent overall. See more Phillip 15h Faithful to the classic epic. Fantastic performances by a from an outstanding cast, particularly Damon, Hathaway, and Leguizamo. See more Read all reviews
