The Post was exciting because everyone onscreen and in the audience embraced the premise that the Post had news to tell that would turn the world on its ear. Sometimes at home watching TV I'm not sure what news is any longer.

better than I expected! Great acting by all, including some surprising faces I didn't realize were in the movie until I saw them! I actually noticed the wonderful cinematography and score, which was pretty cool! The costumes, props and scenery were perfect to set the scene for the time period and I loved seeing (and learning about!) the historical references! Interesting, entertaining and I enjoyed it more than I expected to!

Streep is incredible. The multiple publishing decision scenes with her are award-worthy. She is so restrained and yet intense and emotional. The pacing at under two hours is nice, since it is a very dialogue-heavy movie. This is extremely topical given the current administration's supression of media. However, I do have some criticisms. The characters have almost zero backstories or explenations of their motivations. If you're not already familiar with the content, I could see missing quite a lot of what is going on. The Hanks accent is at times bizarre. The protests scenes are so cheesy and charictatures of protest. There is nothing revelatory- it goes pretty much exactly as you would expect, even if you don't know the real world details. Overall, I liked it. It sets up Nixon's downfall well. But there are noticable weaknesses.

Filme fraco, o roteiro é fraco, as cenas sao mais ou menos, o elenco é mais ou menos, e ninguém ajuda a melhorar o filme, a história é fraca, e o filme deveria ter cenas bem melhores e relevantes para fazer o filme ser bom.

A great film about a newspaper company. Steven Spielberg is a great director. Tom Hanks and Meryl Streep did a nice job too. It was cool to see Washington DC. A wonderful movie.
