London, 1974. As Britain prepares for electrical blackouts to sweep across the country, trainee nurse Val (Rose Williams) arrives for her first day at the crumbling East London Royal Infirmary. With most of the patients and staff evacuated to another hospital, Val is forced to work the night shift, finding herself in a dark, near empty building. Within these walls lies a deadly secret, forcing Val to face both her own traumatic past and deepest fears in order to confront the malevolent force that's intent on destroying everything around her.

During the miners' strike, a trainee nurse is forced to work the dark shift during the 1974 rolling blackouts in London As the lead, Rose Williams delivers a standout intense performance. Sadly, as horror the film sports predictable genre mechanics and often repetitive supernatural beats. I see potential in the writer/director.

I watched half of it and regret it watching as long as I did. I should have listened to my instinct and stopped half hour in. It's boring. And that's saying something, because I have a high tolerance for mediocre horror films.

Rundown facility, run down people, rundown humanity. Super creepy atmosphere in this building, with eerie sensations, sectoral apparitions, and unseen forces. So much distrust and gossip from many of our staff who are far too lazy and overly comfortable in their positions in life. Beautifully haunting and all the tropes of a classic haunted facility. The eventual possession of the only one who cares, and the pain inflicted upon them makes me smile my black grin, from my black heart. The silent will be, must be heard...
