SIMAS C @simas_eros Oct 19, 2026 A Mexican film—as strange as it is surprising—that explores the intimate life of a dysfunctional family through a supernatural and symbolic premise, emphasizing the power and influence of sexuality and pleasure. Winner of the Silver Bear for Best Director in Berlin. See more Korra N @RT88131552 Mar 16, 2025 Erotic, intense & gripping, The Untamed is a brilliant Spanish-language thriller that's actually bold & unflinching, taking a few leaps that too many filmmakers wouldn't dare to. See more Tom L @RT84451299 Feb 5, 2025 The Untamed is quite an original and compelling film. An interesting exploration of human sexuality against a backdrop of rural Mexico, with science fiction and body horror in the mix. There are hints of Lovecraft with a creature that descends in a meteorite from space, although the prudish author from Providence would have never approved of the graphic sexual pleasure the creature delivers to its “victims.” Enough is left unexplained to maintain an atmosphere of the weird to the ambiguous conclusion, but there is enough substance to the plot to keep one engaged until the end. "The Untamed" explores the darkness we are dragged into when we are not allowed to live our sexuality to its fullest. It is remarkable how sci-fi elements are used as a metaphor to deliver this erotic horror. Utterly risky and daring!
