Ex-crook Jimmy "The Saint" Tosnia is trying his best to go legitimate until he's dragged back into the world of crime for one last, seemingly simple mission. All Jimmy and his eccentric cronies have to do is intimidate their target. But they make a disastrous series of mistakes that result in the death of a woman connected to a powerful gangster. Before long, Mr. Shhh, a notorious assassin who never slips up, is sent to take down Jimmy and his partners.

In the wake of his Oscar-nominated role as the sick-puppy Vincent in “The Godfather III” Garcia appeared in four thoroughly forgettable flicks, and “Denver” offered him a chance to do a riff on Vincent, but with a bigger heart, and he succeeded admirably.

i dont know why people dont like this film - its comic book film noir and fun - great cast - good acting - entertaining -- might be one of those generational movies where people under 40 just dont get it or are to fragile to handle it;

This is a personal favorite of mines. I admit, it's very B movie-esque across the board, but it's good. Andy Garcia and Christopher Walken are exceptional in this film. The storyline isn't all that but the performances carry this film and make it a home run. You really cheer for the protagonist and empathize with his cause. Pretty good overall. 85/100 B
