Woody (Tom Hanks), a good-hearted cowboy doll who belongs to a young boy named Andy (John Morris), sees his position as Andy's favorite toy jeopardized when his parents buy him a Buzz Lightyear (Tim Allen) action figure. Even worse, the arrogant Buzz thinks he's a real spaceman on a mission to return to his home planet. When Andy's family moves to a new house, Woody and Buzz must escape the clutches of maladjusted neighbor Sid Phillips (Erik von Detten) and reunite with their boy.

More fun than Christmas mornings and birthday presents and winning a prize and making a friend, more fun than parking for free and falling in love and flying to Paris, more fun than anything you can think of is Toy Story.

I suppose it must be because I watched it a thousand times as a child, but I'm still amazed at how well-crafted it is narratively, with nothing lacking and nothing superfluous. [Full review in Spanish]

"Toy Story" (1995) is a midlife crisis, workplace or multiple wives drama disguised as a kids movie and heavily borrows the inevitable existential crisis of oblivion that toys faced as far back as "The Velveteen Rabbit"

As old as it is, much like the franchise’s toys (aside from Wheezy, poor guy), it just doesn’t seem to age. It is, and always will be, a quintessential children’s movie.

The original and greatest of Pixar’s films! The cast is perfect! One of the best animated/computer animated movies ever made! It has a little bit of everything action, fighting, torture, revenge, monsters, chases, escapes, true love, miracles, and a little humor.

Synopsis
