I feel like [director Yeon Sang-ho] misunderstood what he had the first time around. It seemed like he was just trying to make a "Hollywood" movie [for the sequel], and that's really not what made the first film so great.

It felt like Fast and Furious met the zombie apocalypse. I liked the movie, but it didn't capture the suspense and thrill of being chased, as well as the emotions as within Train To Busan.

I did not see the original release so trying to link the stories together did not happen for me. As a stand-alone film, it was ok, especially if you like zombies .
