A few key performances bring the terror, as well as a very putrid horror scares, but the disjointed and incohesive Traumatika is never as controversial, purposeful, or as shocking as it posits. Go to Full Review

Traumatika is a scary movie that will hit harder with casual horror watchers, for horror fans it will feel familiar and not all that scary. Go to Full Review

A movie about demonic possession that arguably has too much going on for its own good. Go to Full Review

Traumatika is bold, bleak, and brimming with potential—but it’s also one of the most frustrating horror films of the year. It begins with disturbing imagery and suffocating atmosphere, only to unravel into incoherence and shock-value storytelling. Go to Full Review

Tsigaridis’ chosen visual language is often so murky that it’s impossible to tell what is happening to whom and why. Go to Full Review

Austin Sep 17 If I could rate this a zero I would. Absolutely a waste of time See more Juandi Sep 16 This movie had a lot of potential. There are some good suspenseful moments here & there. The acting was mostly cringe & the script was borderline comedy but not intentionally. Very much a straight-to-redbox film. See more JAVIER Sep 15 It was not good the way it was shot it felt all over the place and cheesy See more James K @Jamesdkman 2d This movie is bad. The opening scenes were pretty good, and even scared me a bit. The rest of the film is a disjointed mess, unwittingly humorous than anything more. The plot is so poorly explained and executed, it forced me to go on Wikipedia just to learn the summary of this hour and a half trainwreck. The decisions people made in the movie are so dumb, I found myself laughing from the absurdity of choices made. The pacing was F1 level. This movie isn't in linear form, so this amped up approach made the film's transitions feel a bit chaotic and jarring. I really can't recommend this movie; it sucks as a horror. I'm going to anyway, and the irony to my recommendation is in the fact the film made me laugh a lot. See more Tnee S @Preston_is_I Jan 17 Horror stories are my main form of entertainment. I mention this only because I may be more critical of horror than your average person. Also, spoilers. The good stuff: Young Mikey camera perspective in act 1 had blinking which was a nice touch. Rebekah Kennedy gave a solid performance as Abigail despite the script. It was under 1.5 hours. Let's dive into the slop. It's a terrible flustercuck of incomplete ideas. It takes place from 1910-2024. It is about demon possession, child abduction and abuse, incest, a dirty old house with very clean toys, and capped off with an impromptu knife wielding masked killer who goes on a shooting rampage before being stopped by the least likeable character in the movie, a true crime tv show host who is covered in very bright red blood. Oh, and make it Halloween. And add alot of news footage. And Abigail needs a cleft palate because reasons. I'm sorry. What?! How was this greenlit? Make it make sense. Not even good enough for bad movie night. See more Hugo S @Hugo_Shudder Dec 29 "Traumatika" explores child abuse in a disturbing narrative that uses demonic possession as a metaphor for the devastating and traumatic effects of this horrendous crime. The movie is filled with uncomfortable moments that make it a difficult watch for many viewers, especially given its sensitive matter. After a promising and terrifying first half, the story unexpectedly evolves into a slasher as the audience sees the victim become a deranged murderer. Deeply unsettling! See more Read all reviews
