Bullets fly on the Atlanta freeway as armed thieves make their getaway following a bank robbery in broad daylight. Unhappy with the results, ruthless gangster Irina Vlaslov orders the men to pull off another job. One member of the team is Marcus Belmont (Anthony Mackie), a crooked cop who gets saddled with Chris Allen (Casey Affleck), his new but incorruptible police partner. As Belmont and his cohorts lay the groundwork for the heist, they come up with a devious plan to use Allen as their pawn.

Triple 9's pulpy potboiler thrills don't quite live up to the ferocious talents of its cast, but the film's efficient, solidly crafted genre fun is often enough to balance its troublesome flaws.

At the end of the day, stories need to be about characters, not types. While nothing that ought to inspire a letter writing campaign from the ADL,"Triple 9" fails to make it past shorthand.

The real screen stealer in Triple 9 is Clifton Collins Jr., as the quietly diabolical, dirty detective Rodriguez. He is a reason why this film will keep you glued to your seat.

Considering the amount of move stars starts in this movie thought I would enjoyed it more than I did. Bottom live is I didn't detestable it I wouldn't recommend it either. 🤷🏼‍♂️

This movie is completely filled with recognizable actors. I had very high hopes for it. But it didn’t deliver at all. The acting was good. But I couldn’t get invested in the plot. Extremely disappointing. If you decide to watch it, you’ll see what I mean

I love the cover. But when I watched it, the cover scene was only one small part. Literally rather than the cover, I hated this movie. Both during and after, I still don't know what triple 9 means, and I'm too lazy to even look it up. Had this movie been something completely different, it could have been awesome.
