The premise is solid though, and the Damien Jurado songs do a lot of the heavy lifting. Both leads are good, even if their chemistry didn’t fully convince me. I did like that they were both written as flawed humans who mess up and say the wrong things. It’s not some tidy little pop movie, though it's close.
