I recommend this if you’re looking for a completely off the wall horror concept.i See more JOSHUA K @defmagic Aug 7 *Tusk* was an interesting experience for me because I heard Kevin Smith develop the idea years before the movie existed. On *SModcast*, he and his friends found a bizarre "roommate wanted" story and basically improv-built it into something increasingly absurd. Hearing that process made me want to see how the version in my head compared to the finished film. Justin Long was the perfect choice, and the rest of the cast works well too. The story is ridiculous—but it’s supposed to be. I don’t always love Kevin Smith’s later, more independent work, but this one has always stuck with me. As a movie alone, maybe a C-. If you know what you’re getting into and watch it with friends without taking it seriously? Solid B-. For me, it’s still a better experience than *Clerks III*, *Jay and Silent Bob Reboot*, or *Red State*. See more Drew F @Drewfrost20 Aug 3 Well acted and directed.
