After Shideh's building is hit by a missile during the Iran-Iraq War, a superstitious neighbor suggests that the missile was cursed and might be carrying malevolent Middle-Eastern spirits. She becomes convinced a supernatural force within the building is attempting to possess her daughter Dorsa, and she has no choice but to confront these forces if she is to save her daughter and herself.

You've got to push through the first forty or so minutes of Under the Shadow to get to the good stuff, but when it comes it comes with jack-in-the-box fierceness and doesn't let up

I think the only scary part about it is the fact that it's happening during war, and that women aren't allowed an education. Don't quite understand how it got rated this high overall, but to each their own, I guess.

this was rated as one of the top 10 scariest movies on google… absolute larp. this was the worst movie i have ever watched. me and paityn massey do not recommend this movie to anybody. i absolutely regret staying up to watch this movie. the movie does not make sense at all. i don’t even know how to explain this movie. watch it if you dare.

Synopsis
