A dark, delusional piece of sultry fantasia that doesn’t condemn or condone Connie or Ed’s choices. It simply presents people surprised by the ease with which they transgress and allow little white lies to fester into gigantic, tumorous deceptions.

Gut wrenching movie about the drastic results of sin. Seen it twice and both times I can feel the agony of the two characters. Both living with the guilt and shame sitting in the idling car wondering what they should do. Heartbreaking seeing the innocent son something of a victim of his parents fall.

Diane Lane carries this crime thriller with her realistic portrayal of a cheating wife. She looked the part and acted the part, making it impossible not to get lost in her world. The film offers a new take on the unfaithful spouse storyline by showing that infidelity isn’t always a result of neglect or unhappiness. Such thought-provoking themes, coupled with great acting, make Unfaithful worth watching albeit forgettable.
