If it had lived up to its golden first five minutes, Up would have been the film of the decade. As it is, it remains the best animated flick of 2009, a funny, moving, beautifully made argument that dreamers can move mountains.

Pixar’s boasted animated masterpieces are spectacularly based then secondarily thematic by branded integrities with stirred emotional engagement in between. This commemoratively honor the journey that unexpectedly captured the shorts’ whimsicality under expressive efficiency in the beginning seeding a gradual blossom under a beautiful shine through a similar darkness. Simply put, this is one of Pixar’s most sophisticated storytelling with humane imagination that guarantee infectious resonance in empathizing with Asner’s layered brilliance in soulfully emitting expected charm whilst instilling necessary circumstantial emotions and mesmerized by the gorgeously astonishing animation for the adventurous palpability. (A)

The first ten minutes of this movie are a masterpiece, delivering one of the most beautiful and heartbreaking love stories in cinema history. The transition into the South American adventure is vibrant and fun, driven by the great dynamic between the grumpy Carl, the lovely Russell, and Dug the dog. It only loses a few points in the second half when it leans too much into over-the-top action with the villain and the dogs flying airplanes. Nevertheless, it is a brilliant, deeply touching, and unforgettable animation.
