Like the train that Simbu takes — with AR Rahman’s hummable ‘Marakkuma Nenjam’ playing in the background — this film is a journey too, one that is likely to continue in its next installment.

A lot attention to detail in every frame of the movie. Good support by STR throughout the movie.

A moderately interesting film which loses its charm once Simbu becomes the gangster. Some unanswered questions are there in second half, like why the Malayalee friend character wants to kill Simbu, what really happened to Simbu's wife and family etc, which could be resolved in the 2nd part.
