Aldis Hodge comes back like gangbusters with his definitive take on detective Alex Cross, but the series still can’t figure out to be as killer good as he is. Go to Full Review

The highs and lows of this second season mirror a spindling rollercoaster, one whose mechanisms slowly falter until the wheels come loose, before the whole ride comes crashing down. Go to Full Review

Ultra B @Ultra_Brian 4h Cross, the main protagonist just keeps getting blamed and antagonized at every time like a punching bag, my lord, really takes away the fun of the series. Plus too much of a soap opera, with little action. See more Chris H @Chris3rdI 13h Season 2 is actually even better than season two. All characters seem to be very cohesive. Amazing story plot, True Tone similarities to current temperature now these days. High level of suspense on the edge of the seat vibes. Cast are absolutely believable, although I’m not too sold on the girlfriend scene, and her holding Alex to lie, I mean it was a huge lie, but she wouldn’t have believed him in season 1 had he told her what was up, but I digress, I do like the pace, and the the potential of a federally G-friend who actually gets him and can relate more. See more Jonathan M @Jonathan555 13h I like a lot of the actors in this series, but it just seems like a lot of story plots mixed together from other, better shows, and from headlines. See more Sangwinne D @sangwinne 14h Alex Cross has a strong spine: a brilliant investigator, psychological tension, and the promise of quiet menace. I like the idea very much. Unfortunately, the execution drowns that promise in excessive, overwrought drama. Every emotion is pushed to a theatrical extreme when it should be allowed to breathe. Grief screams when it should whisper; trauma performs instead of haunting. The show doesn’t trust silence, subtlety, or the audience’s intelligence—and that is its greatest flaw. In its rare restrained moments, it shines. Too often, though, it mistakes volume for depth. A compelling concept dulled by overacting excess. See more William N @William125 19h Here we go again (eyes rolling). Another series that stumbles all over itself to wag its finger at the audience and shove its messaging down your throat. Portrays everything in Texas in the most ignorant way possible. We can't just sit down and watch a good story without this crap, and I am in no way inferring that this is a good story because this story is complete and utter garbage. Too bad because at least some of the actors seem to be wasting their talents on a third-rate production. See more David M @DJMatt 21h Love Cross so much!!! This season has only just begun but is already stepping it up big time! See more Read all reviews
