With only a few dips into crass sensationalism, this love story starring Paul Anthony Kelly and a standout star-is-born Sarah Pidgeon lets us share in John and Carolyn’s one brief shining moment and ache for what might have been. Go to Full Review

...what emerges on screen is an endless, drab slog charting what feels like every moment, no matter how narratively pointless, of the couple’s pre-relationship situations, courtship and marriage. Go to Full Review

Somehow, despite a degree of current-day Kennedy fatigue, this FX series feels fresh and compelling. Go to Full Review

Love Story: John F. Kennedy Jr. and Carolyn Bessette is an intoxicating series full of insane beauty, raw emotion, and clever reinterpretations of some of pop culture’s most enduring images. Go to Full Review

Sarah Pidgeon does a lot with what she’s given as Carolyn Bessette, which of course makes us want to see a less broadly-written portrait of such a fascinating figure. Go to Full Review

Love Story is at its best when it’s dissecting the Kennedy family as they try to hold onto their legacy after the death of its matriarch. Go to Full Review

Edward L @Glyndower 5h Dull account of the relationship of two pointless people, a man whose only claim to fame is that his father took a bullet to his head and a blonde even more vacuous than her British equivalent Diana Spencer. See more RJ S @Highlander69 9h Solid tragic love story See more Eric L. @Ericpix 11h I watched the first three episodes. I loved the flirtiness between the two when they first meet. Their chemistry is off the charts and the kissing doesn’t look like fake movie kisses! I can’t take my eyes off of Sarah Pidgeon- she’s so in the moment. I don’t know what the real JFK Jr was like but Paul Kelly nailed it for me. And Jackie’s funeral scenes really moved me. I was never a Kennedy watcher and some of the family scenes were a little slow for my taste. But I’m looking forward to more John and Carolyn See more Angela C. @AngCamp 19h Awful. The actors were awful. I never got over the fact that they were actors playing the roles. That’s all I could see. Naomi watts as Jackie was terrible and I usually like her. John came across pouty and a little effeminate. It was all just too much. I really can’t believe Ryan Murphy made this. I quit halfway through the second episode. See more Val N @Newtonianlass 20h I started watching this expecting to see some more information about the infamous John John and his wife Carolyn. I was expecting to see less soapy drama than what they are showing. The casting is atrocious...especially the Daryl Hannah person and the Caroline Kennedy Schlosberger actress. While the actor portraying John looks remarkably like him, as soon as he opens his mouth it's like, yeah, no way. Naomi Watts went out of her way to be Jackie O like, but also doesn't get my vote. Katie Holmes did a much better Jackie O in previous shows. It's hard to watch when actors butcher the roles of people that we've all known so unfortunately I can't get past that. See more Katherine M @Ktjpete 1d This is one of the best series I’ve seen in a long time. JFK Jr. is a spitting imaged played by Paul Kelly. His scenes with his mother were inspiring and so compelling. He was able to show a side of their relationship that I don’t think we had seen before. Such an amazing show and highly recommend adding this one to your list of must-see! See more Read all reviews
